Sunday + late nights = check the "pharmacie de garde" on 3237.fr. ### Post office (La Poste) • Where: La Poste Cergy Préfecture — inside / near 3 Fontaines mall.
  • Hours: Mon-Fri ~9h-18h, Sat morning. Closed Sundays. --- • Use it for: Sending packages home, registered letters (lettre recommandée — required for housing/CAF stuff), buying timbres (stamps).
  • Pickup: If you missed a package, they leave a slip — bring slip + ID to collect. ### Laundromats (laveries) Most residences have laundry in the building, but if yours is broken or full, here's where to go: • 5 à Sec: Inside of 3 Fontaines mall --- ## 6.4 Things to do for fun ### Île de Loisirs de Cergy-Pontoise • What: Huge outdoor park around a lake. Beach, paddleboards, kayaks, wakeboarding (yes, wakeboarding in Cergy!), inflatable obstacle course, picnic spots.
  • When: Best in spring/summer (May-September). Free entry, paid activities.
  • Why: When the weather turns nice, EVERYONE from the school ends up here. Day-long picnics, BDE events.
  • Get there: Bus or 20 min walk from campus. --- ### Axe Majeur • What: Massive public art installation by Dani Karavan. 3 km walking path with sculptures, a giant red pedestrian bridge, towers, and lake views.
  • When: Any time. Especially beautiful at sunset.
  • Why: Free, iconic Cergy spot. Best place for photos. Walk it once with friends — it's a whole experience. ### UGC Cergy / Megarama (cinema) • Where: UGC inside 3 Fontaines mall.
  • Price: Get the UGC Illimité student card (~€21/month, UNLIMITED films across France). --- • Why: Rainy Sunday afternoons. Date nights. Avoiding your essay. ### Port de Cergy • What: A small marina-style port lined with cute restaurants,bars, and terraces.
  • When: Best at sunset or warmer evenings. Drinks + dinner combo.
